The service was not good. Most of the staff were poorly trained, and some spoke weak English. They were polite but not efficient.

Beautiful property with style, very nice rooms. Nice park. Food very good.
The staff are a bit soulless. Juicy drink prices, but a poor choice of whisky. Beautifully laid table with bread plate, but no bread while eating. Our room was right at the entrance, very noisy. Staff were making noise directly in front of the window, in the morning an employee in a car rushed to the parking lot and braked vehemently, so that vehicles and guests were dusted. 30 pounds a day for the dog is outrageous.

The hotel's position was good, on ladies' heels. I was there for 1 night and ate at Michelin star rated restaurant with lovely food and wine list.

Food was quite nice.
We booked a Luxury room and were shown up stairs to a room with a bathroom across the hall which was unacceptable to us. We were given an alternative which had the following flaws: dim lighting that could not be increased bath/shower that required you to climb into up a marble step with nothing to hold onto, no headroom under shower, Wet/damaged/cracked ceiling in bedroom No mobile phone signal Extremely limited TV channels No room service menu in room Only 4 types of sandwich available in room service after 9.30 - nothin else and no alternative suggested

Stunning historic Manor with beautiful rooms and suites across several buildings. We stayed in the Anne Boelyn suite which was spacious and beautifully appointed with a view out over the lake. Great bathroom and very comfortable bed - also nice touches such as magazines and quality bath products. We had dinner and breakfast at the Manor - both were delicious with dinner a gourmet treat delivered with friendly but very professional service. Best meal we had in the UK! If you need a weekend break or a place to stay near Gatwick airport then I can't recommend the hotel highly enough - expensive but lovely so treat yourself and have something special!
A couple of minor gripes - no milk to have with the tea/coffee provided, and coffee grounds provided but no coffee plunger to use them with. Also asked for two extra pillows which arrived quickly but with no pillow covers. A common problem with UK hotel is the lack of a power point in the bathroom - a drama for us gals who need to blow dry or style our hair! If this can't be provided due to safety reasons the please put one near a well lit mirror in the bedroom.

The staff were genuinely friendly, and they were pretty good when we needed assistance, very much like in the excellent service I experienced during dinner.
My children wished for more kid-friendly activities or spaces to keep them entertained . It would have.

The Luxury Super King Room features plenty of space alongside a unique historical charm that sets the mood for a relaxing stay. The serene garden views offer a peaceful backdrop.
The dining experience left a bit to be desired, with meals coming across as overpriced, even if they were well-presented. A chair at our table collapsed unexpectedly, quite an unfortunate incident. The mattress did not fit the bed properly, resulting in an uncomfortable night for my daughter, who had to resort to sleeping on it directly on the floor.
